Wufeng is a great base for exploring the district. Set at the foot of Elephant Trunk Mountain, it offers a wide selection of guesthouses, cafes and restaurants. Most serve Taiwanese specialties such as beef noodle soup, sticky rice dumplings and oyster vermicelli noodles.
A National Historic Site, the Wufeng Lin Family Garden offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of one of the most powerful families in Taiwan. Stroll around the gardens to admire several beautiful buildings, including magnificent Dahua Hall.
Located at Asia University, the Asia Museum of Modern Art showcases works by contemporary artists. It occupies a striking triangle-shaped building designed by iconic Japanese architect Ando Tadao. Inside you’ll find works by Zao Wou Ki and other modern masters.
On the sixth floor of the Wufeng Rural Township Farmers' Association building, the Taiwan Mushroom Museum celebrates all things fungi. Exhibits cover the rich history and heritage of mushroom farming in Taiwan and spotlights popular species such as the king oyster, enoki and shitake.

Taxis are a fast and comfortable way to get around Wufeng District. The city centre is compact and easy to get around on foot while rental cars offer the freedom to explore at your own pace. The district is a 30-minute drive from Taichung City and Taichung International Airport.
