A major transport hub, Taichung Station is a gateway to Taiwan. It's served by the Taiwan Railways Administration and offers connections to cities across the country, including Taipei, Kaohsiung and Tainan. Part of the station is housed in a historic building with soaring ceilings, arched windows and intricate stone carvings.

Lockers are located outside the train station entrance if you want to store your baggage and spend the day exploring Taichung. Taichung Station offers plenty of street-food stalls, snack bars and restaurants to keep you fuelled throughout your journey.
Getting there
Taichung Station is in the heart of the city, with entrances located on Fuxing Road and Jianguo Road. The city's main bus station is located opposite Taichung Station, while taxis are also available.
