Spanning across three levels, THSR Taichung Station is a gateway to Taiwan. The station is serviced by Taiwan High-Speed Rail, which travels across the west coast from Taipei to Kaohsiung. At top speeds, the trains can hit up to 350 kilometers an hour.
Taichung is home to the country's biggest THSR Station and welcomes over 20 million passengers a year. Use machines to purchase automated tickets or talk to the friendly help desk attendants. Looking for TRA services? Simply walk to connecting Wuri Station.
Lockers are a great option if you want to store your baggage and spend the day exploring Taichung. The station also offers plenty of snack bars, cafes, and restaurants, including Starbucks and McDonalds. You can also stock up on supplies at convenience stores, such as 7-Eleven.
Getting there
THSR Taichung Station is eight kilometers from the city center. It's a five-minute walk from Wuri Station, which offers services to downtown Taichung in around 10 minutes. The taxi rank is located on the ground floor, while a drive to central Taichung takes around 15 minutes.
