Attracting over 20 million visitors a year, Sentosa Island is one of Singapore’s most popular destinations. Fun is the order of the day, with a colourful line-up of family-friendly attractions to explore. From nature and history to thrill rides and sun-drenched beaches, it’s easy to see why Sentosa is known as the “State of Fun”.
Things to Do
By far, one of Sentosa Island’s biggest attraction is its sprawling Universal Studios theme park. With seven different zones, it’s home to a string of rides inspired by many of your favourite blockbuster films. For a walk on the wild side, head to S.E.A. Aquarium to see more than 800 different species from the Java Sea, Strait of Malacca, Bay of Bengal and more.
Kids will love Adventure Cove Waterpark, with opportunities to take on waterslides, wave pools, tube rides and more. Test your skills at the Trick Eye interactive museum of optical illusions, and rub shoulders with the stars at Madame Tussauds.
If you want a place to relax, Sentosa is home to three picturesque beaches. Siloso is the busiest, lined with trendy bars and restaurants. Family-friendly Palawan is great for little ones, while secluded Tanjong is perfect for rest and relaxation.
Feel like splurging? Head to Quayside Isle to find a string of high-end waterfront restaurants, with gorgeous views of the yachting marina. The island is also home to Singapore’s famous Sentosa Golf Course, boasting two championship 18 hole courses.
Getting Around
Singapore makes things easy with great connections to Sentosa Island. Ride the MRT train, or simply stroll across the Sentosa Boardwalk. For something different, jump aboard the monorail from Vivo City or ride the scenic cable car from Harbourfront. Thanks to the city’s efficient cycling routes, it’s also easy to reach Sentosa Island on two wheels.
