Yishun is nestled on the banks of the Lower Seletar Reservoir, combining outdoor recreation with picturesque natural landscapes. Things to do in Yishun
You’ll find plenty of family-friendly fun at Yishun’s welcoming country clubs, especially SAFRA Yishun Country Club, which features a tennis court, rock climbing wall, swimming pool and karaoke centre. If you’d prefer to test your swing, head to Orchid Country Club, which has three nine-hole courses and a driving range, as well as paintball and a bowling alley.
If relaxation is on your agenda, venture over to Yishun Pond Park, where you can enjoy shaded picnic areas or climb to the top of a spiral tower for panoramic views over Singapore. Lower Seletar Reservoir Park is perfect for water sports, such as kayaking or fishing, along with watching dragon boat competitions and wandering through the rain garden.
Northpoint City, Yishun’s only shopping mall, is home to over 400 retail outlets, including Japan Home, Royal Sporting House and Cotton On. Keep an eye out for special events, such as specific store discount weeks. If you prefer a more traditional shopping experience, wander through the hawker centre and street market at Chong Pang City, where you can find unique souvenirs and handmade items.
Only four kilometres from Yishun, Sembawang Hot Spring is Singapore’s only natural hot spring and a perfect way to relax and rest weary muscles. Singapore Zoo is about 15 minutes’ drive away and is home to over 2,800 animals and a unique night safari that reveals the rarely-seen nocturnal species.
