Resorts World Sentosa is located off of the southern shore of Singapore on the pristine Sentosa Island. The destination is a commercialised hub of gambling, theme parks, and water parks. It is split into an east, west, and central zone and includes six different hotels. Resorts World is the ultimate mecca of Singapore tourism.
The resort contains two casinos and a variety of fine dining options. Universal Studios of Singapore is located in the East Zone of Resorts World and includes a Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Madagascar, and Hollywood exhibitions. The West Zone claims the world’s largest Marine Life Park with a corresponding Experiential Museum and Adventure Cove Waterpark.
Due to Resorts Wold’s close proximity to Singapore’s Central Business District, transportation options are bountiful. From the airport’s Tanah Merah MRT station a train runs to the nearby destination at exit E. From the Central Business District, the East West Line train can be taken to Raffles Place, transferred to the Jurong East MRT Station, ending at exit B, a short walk from the hotel. There are also plenty of buses and taxis.
Resorts World Sentosa is the third most expensive building ever built and was opened in 2012. There are a variety of landmark events that occurred over the next few years including the opening of Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase in March 2013 and the opening of Dolphin Island at Marine Life Park in November 2013.
