Located in the heart of Singapore's business and entertainment district, Marina Bay is the city's go-to destination for fine dining, luxury shopping and world-class entertainment. You can sip on a Singapore Sling at the SkyPark observation deck, gaze up at the mesmerising Gardens by the Bay or stroll along the scenic waterfront promenade.
Things to do in Marina Bay
Dominating the skyline, Marina Bay Sands is an extravagant complex designed by Israeli-born architect Moshe Safdie. You can try your luck at the dazzling casino, splurge on a cocktail at the exclusive CÉ LA VI SkyBar or give your credit card a workout at the Shoppes luxury mall.
For panoramic views of the Singapore skyline, visit the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark. Perched 200 metres above sea level, the huge observation deck floats above the Marina Bay Sands hotel. It features a high-end restaurant and palm-fringed infinity pool.
One of Singapore's most photographed attractions, Gardens by the Bay blends natural beauty with ultra-modern architecture. Inspired by lush orchids, the garden's grove of Supertrees tower up to 16 storeys high. In the evening, they light up with a mesmerising sound and lights show.
Kids will love the ArtScience Museum, spread over three storeys with 21 fascinating galleries. “The Deep” exhibition showcases some of Southeast Asia's quirkiest marine life, while “DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition” spotlights the art of creating films like Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda.
Getting around Marina Bay
The best way to get around Marina Bay is on foot. If you're arriving from central Singapore, you can access Marina Bay via the Bayfront MRT Station. Regular river ferry services also connect Marina Bay to Bayfront South Jetty.
