Functioning as both an ecology museum and a public park, Dapingding Tropical Botanical Garden is a lush oasis in the heart of Siaogang. Here you can stroll along shady paths, wander over wooden bridges and work your way through a string of floral exhibits.
From the colourful Dragon and Tiger Pagodas to the bustling Liuhe Night Market, the Siaogang District is a great base for exploring Kaohsiung’s top attractions. For an alternative view of the city skyline, take a leisurely cruise along the Love River.
Getting around Siaogang District
Thanks to the efficient Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit (KMRT) system, getting to and from the Siaogang District is easy. Trains travel downtown in around 30 minutes, with plenty of stations to stop along the way. Taxis are a quick way to get around, reaching downtown in around 20 minutes.
