The 85 Sky Tower soars 341 metres over the Kaohsiung skyline. Once the tallest building in Taiwan, it houses residential apartments and offices, as well as a department store and hotel. High-speed elevators whisk you to the observation deck on the 74th floor where you can take in panoramic views over the Kaohsiung skyline and harbour.
The 85 Sky Tower design was inspired by a Chinese character meaning “tall” and features three tiers and a pyramidal crown. It's considered one of Taiwan's most striking buildings and was conceived by the same firm that designed the iconic Taipei 101 tower.
In addition to beautiful views of the city, you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Love River and distant mountains. Allow time to enjoy tea, coffee and snacks at the small cafe. The views are especially beautiful at sunset. You can stroll down to Kaohsiung Harbour in minutes and walk to the Liuhe Night Market in 30 minutes.
