Topped by twin minarets and gilded domes, this whitewashed house of worship shows influences from Byzantine architecture.

Directly across the water from Al-Hamra Corniche is King Fahad's Fountain, which was constructed in the 1980s with a mabkhara-inspired base. It jets water 260 metres into the air, making it the tallest fountain of its type in the world.
