Al Naseem District is an integral part of Jeddah, a thriving urban centre bordering the Red Sea. King Abdullah Road runs along the edge of Al Naseem toward the waterfront, connecting the district to famous landmarks such as the Jeddah Corniche.
Things to do in Al Naseem
A charming collection of Arabic sweets shops and bakeries along Abi Dharr Alghifari Street draw foodies to Al Naseem to sample mouth-watering bites from places such as Aljonah and Chocoline. Save room for traditional Arabic specialties at Saadeddin Pastry, including bite-sized Maamoul shortbread with pistachios, dates and other sweet ingredients. Local cafes serve traditional Omani food, such as Kabsa, the national dish, using spice blends of saffron, cinnamon, cardamom and black lime.
Looking for shopping venues in Jeddah? With dozens of modern high-end shopping centres, two of the most popular ones sit just across King Abdullah Road from Al Naseem. Al Andalus Mall and Al Salaam Mall offer hundreds of upscale shops, as well as dining and family-friendly entertainment, such as Babel Land theme park at Al Salaam. You’ll also find small cosmetics and perfume shops dotted among the sprawling mall complexes.
If you have time for exploring neighbouring districts, don’t miss the Jeddah Corniche, an enthralling promenade along the seafront with beaches, amusement parks, eateries, boat rides and ice skating. Take the little ones to Fakieh Aquarium on the northern end of Jeddah Corniche for dolphin and sea lion shows.

Buses and a national rail system connect Jeddah to the rest of Saudi Arabia. Taxis provide a reliable way to get around Al Naseem, which can also be walked in some areas. You can pick up a rental car in town or at King Abdulaziz International Airport, about 19 kilometres from Jeddah.
