Exclusively servicing private jets, Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Executive Airport is the arrival and departure point for well-heeled travellers flying into the UAE. Blending business and pleasure, the Bateen Airport’s state-of-the-art facility offers modern amenities for both its VIP passengers and crew members. When it comes to landing and taking off in style, Bateen Airport is the pinnacle of UAE travel.
As the region's only dedicated private jet airport, Bateen Airport sees a constant flow of business travellers and leisure tourists. Passengers are welcomed with first-class facilities, including luxe private lounges, a spacious terminal and on-site customs and immigration support.
The airport is located 12 kilometres south-east of Abu Dhabi city, which makes it an easy taxi ride from central hotels, and just 10-minutes from the coveted Corniche district. It’s not uncommon for travellers to commission luxury vehicles to ferry them to and from the airport.
Over the years, Bateen has taken on a handful of different roles. It first opened in 1969 as an international hub, with a focus on major Middle Eastern and Asian cities. In 1982 it switched to a dedicated military airfield until it was taken over by the Abu Dhabi Airports Company in 2008 and converted to an executive jet facility.
