Things to do in Jabel al Dhanna
Jebel Dhanna boasts a picturesque shoreline ideal for swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle building. It's particularly beautiful at sunset when the Arabian Gulf glows in shades of red, yellow and orange.
Just offshore is sun-drenched Sir Bani Yas Island. Most of the island is occupied by the Arabian Wildlife Park, a nature reserve founded by Sheikh Zayed. It's home to over 10,000 free roaming animals, including giraffes, sand gazelles, ostriches, cheetahs and rare Arabian oryx.
There are plenty of water sports on offer, which makes Jebel Dhanna a great place to enjoy the Arabian Gulf. You can stand-up paddleboard in the shallows, kayak to Sir Bani Yas Island or rent a jet ski. Certified scuba divers will jump at the chance to explore a shipwreck just offshore.
The Ruwais Mall is packed full of specialty stores, selling everything from luxury jewellery to boutique homewares. It also features a bustling food court, bowling alley and cinema. Little ones will love the family-friendly ice-skating rink and FunVille kids play centre.
Getting around Jabel al Dhanna
The easiest way to get around Jebel Dhanna is by car or taxi, while most resorts provide cars and minivans. Ferries to Sir Bani Yas Island arrive at the island in around 20 minutes. Al Hamra is the closest airport, around 30 minutes from Jebel Dhanna.
