The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is one of Australia's top event venues. It's perched on the banks of the Yarra River and hosts a diverse line-up of local and international events, including business summits, trade shows, conferences, conventions and concerts.
In a move that puts it at the forefront of Australia's event-hosting scene, the MCEC offers larger-than-life "C2 Lab" experiences designed to spark creativity and innovation. Want to stay local? Private internal walkways connect the MCEC to a pair of top-tier international hotels.
Choose from a variety of dining options, including the Shed Café, which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Yarra River and South Wharf boardwalk. Save your appetite for seasonal salads, farm-fresh sandwiches, house-made pastries and artisan coffee. Goldfields Café & Bar serves share plates and wine by the glass, while Plenary Café is ideal for casual fare.
Getting there
Trams stop directly outside the main entrance on Clarendon Street and Flinders Street. Parking is available at the Exhibition Centre Car Park and nearby lots in the CBD. The MCEC is steps from the South Wharf Promenade, a lively waterfront strip lined with shops, bars and cafes.
