Clapham Common is a triangular-shaped park in the heart of South London. Featuring grassy meadows, mature trees and duck-filled ponds, the park is an oasis in the busy capital. In summer, locals flock and enjoy picnics and lawn games on sun-drenched Clapham Common.
In the north-east corner of the park, Holy Trinity Church dates back to the 1100s. Step inside to admire the gleaming wooden pews and magnificent stained glass windows. Sunday morning services offer a unique chance to worship at one of the most beautiful churches in London. Playgrounds, skateparks and lively cafes make Clapham Common popular with families.
Built in 1890, the Clapham Common Bandstand is one of the oldest and most charming outdoor pavilions in London. It’s been beautifully restored and hosts outdoor concerts in the summer. Clapham Common also hosts fairs, festivals, rallies and other community events throughout the year.
