Nestled behind beautiful Tallow Beach on the road to Broken Head, the Byron Bay Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course which hosts the annual PGA Legends Tournament. It’s ranked as one of the top 100 Public Access Golf Courses in Australia, with the signature 4th hole among its most challenging.
All of the club’s competition days are open to visiting members, with dedicated men’s and veterans competitions, ladies mornings and mixed events. It’s also available throughout the day to enjoy a round of golf at a time that best suits you.
The Pro Shop is staffed by professional golfers, and there’s an extensive range of clubs, bags, buggies, shoes and clothing to select from, as well as demonstration equipment to trial. If golf is not your game, then you can relax over afternoon tea at the Clubhouse while taking in the sweeping views across the course and towards the iconic Byron lighthouse.
Getting there
The Byron Bay Golf Course is located around 10 minutes’ drive south of Byron Bay’s town centre. It can be accessed by public buses heading south towards Ballina, and there is plenty of car parking available on site.
