Things to do in Sa Coma
Relax on Sa Coma’s long stretch of sand, which is backed by a wide promenade lined with international restaurants and lively bars. Kick back beneath a beach umbrella, test your skills at windsurfing or rent a pedalo to explore the coastline at your leisure.
Follow the waterfront promenade south and you’ll arrive at the former fishing village of S’Illot, which clusters around a small working boatyard. Explore the remains of its prehistoric Talaiotic village and learn about this fascinating culture of the Balearic Islands through the interpretive panels.
Are you travelling with kids? Head to the Safari Zoo where you can embark on a safari train to spot giraffe, zebra and elephants. In addition to being home to more than 600 animals from around the world, it boasts a number of children’s playgrounds.
A short drive south of Sa Coma takes you to the idyllic bay of Cala Mendia, which is nestled between two rocky coves. There are plenty of sun loungers where you can spend an afternoon, while its crystal-clear waters are great for a swim.
Getting around Sa Coma
Sa Coma is around one hour’s drive from Palma de Mallorca Airport, and buses connect the resort to destinations across the island. Sa Coma is easy to explore on foot, while a tourist tram connects to the nearby resort of Cala Millor.
