Perched atop the limestone cliffs of south-west Menorca, Cala En Porter is a charming village and one of the island’s oldest beach resorts. It boasts crystal clear waters and is backed by a picturesque valley that can be explored on foot or by mountain bike.
Spend your days relaxing on the white sands of Cala En Porter Beach, which is framed by soaring headlands and dotted with beach umbrellas. There are a handful of cafes and restaurants where you can dine throughout the day and kayaks are available for exploring the surrounding sea caves.
As the sun begins to set, head to the Cova de en Xoroi, a famous bar nestled in a natural cave overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. You can relax with a drink on one of the outdoor platforms while soaking up the views, then dance until the early hours to the live DJs.
Getting there
Cala En Porter is around 15 minutes’ drive from Mahon where ferries connect to Valencia. Menorca Airport is also 15 minutes away and has flights to destinations across Europe. Renting a car is the most convenient way of getting to Cala En Porter, and the village is small enough to explore on foot.
