Things to do in Al Quoz
Al Quoz is known for its contemporary art galleries, many housed in repurposed warehouses. You’ll find some of the best galleries strung along Alserkal Avenue, including FN Designs, Carbon 12 Dubai and The Mine. The strip is a great place to discover both established and up-and-coming Emirati artists. Enrich your visit by attending artist talks, craft workshops and film screenings.
Tucked away down a side street, The Courtyard is a hidden gem in the heart of Al Quoz. The sun-drenched enclave is filled with lush plants and houses some of the best independent boutiques in Dubai. You’ll also find an art gallery, independent theatre, juice bar, coffee bistro and florist.
In addition to galleries, Alserkal Avenue is dotted with trendy cafes where you can sip barista coffee and enjoy gourmet pastries. Many occupy converted warehouses and charm visitors with their industrial-inspired décor.
Families will love OliOli, an interactive play centre where kids can build aeroplanes, explore hanging nets and create their own masterpieces. Al Quoz is another family favourite, featuring indoor trampolines and an adrenaline-fuelled Freestyle Terrain Park.
