Gold was first discovered in 1893 and sparked a frenzy. For a glimpse at the town's gold mining narrative visit the Wyalong Museum. Housed in the Old Courthouse, it showcases a fascinating collection of vintage gold mining machinery.
One of the best ways to enjoy West Wyalong is to stroll along Main Street. It was originally built around the town's old tree stumps and gold mines, which earned it its "Crooked Mile" nickname. Getting around West Wyalong
