Part of the Los Angeles Music Center, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is a striking modern structure designed by famed architect, Frank Gehry. The hall is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Master Chorale. It also serves as an occasional venue for pop concerts and classical jazz performances.
The hall makes an appearance in films, television series and even video games. From “Iron Man” to “American Idol”, “Melrose Place” and “Glee”, production companies value the location for its acoustics and architecture. Designed by Gehry, the venue features an exquisite concert organ built by German master Caspar Glatter-Gotz.
Free self-guided audio tours or one-hour guided tours are available by appointment. To see the auditorium, you must buy tickets for a performance. Make reservations to dine on site at Patina restaurant, which serves French and coastal California cuisine by celebrity chef Joachim Splichal.
