One of Inglewood’s primary claims to fame is The Forum, a multi-purpose indoor arena where you can attend concerts by world-famous entertainers such as The Eagles, Bon Jovi and Eric Clapton. It also hosts major boxing events and entertainment awards ceremonies.
The revitalised Hollywood Casino in Inglewood offers gaming, tournaments, events and live entertainment. Nearby Hollywood Park has a rich history of thoroughbred racing and sports, approved as a location for Los Angeles-area teams of the National Football League and Super Bowl games.
The Southeast Symphony operates out of the historic First Congregational Church of Los Angeles in Inglewood, home to what is considered the world’s largest church pipe organ featuring more than 20,000 pipes. You can attend concerts featuring African American classical musicians and performers.
You can relax with locals in the California sunshine at Centinela Park with picnic areas, walking trails and sports courts. Other local parks include Circle Park, Rogers Park and Edward Vincent Jr. Park.
Getting around Inglewood
Just seven kilometres from Los Angeles International Airport, Inglewood benefits from an extensive transportation system that includes public buses, trains, taxis and ride-share companies. Rental cars are available from the airport or various neighbourhood rental locations.
