Located in the heart of Taipei's Xinyi business district, Taipei International Convention Center is one of Taiwan's major convention and exhibition spaces. It's a major destination for business travellers to Taiwan and the variety of conference rooms and halls are spread over multiple floors.
Taipei International Convention Center has 16 conference rooms, catering for functions from 50 to 800 people. Plenary Hall is the largest of the conference spaces and features an 880-inch projection screen. The rolling programme of events includes major international conventions and events for international businesses doing trade in Taipei. Often there are multiple events going on at the same time, hosting hundreds or thousands of international visitors.
The convention centre is linked with Taipei World Trade Center and also has five dedicated dining spaces. It's within short walking distance of two stations on the Taipei Metro: Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station and Taipei City Hall Station.
The easiest way to locate the convention centre is to find the 508-metre high Taipei 101 dominating the cityscape. This bamboo stalk-structure was once the world's tallest building and is just a two-minute walk from the Taipei International Convention Center.
This convention centre opened in 1990 and amongst the notable events it has hosted were the 14th and 15th National Congress of Kuomintang.
