Things to do in Seal Rocks
The panoramas from Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse will take your breath away. The colonial-era lighthouse is perched on a rocky headland and commands stunning views over the honey-coloured beach and the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Humpbacks cruise past the headland during their annual migration and make the lighthouse one of the top whale-watching destinations in New South Wales. You can also spot Australian fur seals basking on the rocky islets just offshore.
Explore beaches, lakes and lush coastal rainforest in Myall Lakes National Park. The park is a sanctuary for unique birds, including white-bellied sea eagles and bowerbirds, famous for their brightly coloured nests. Trails wind through the park and take you to sandy beaches framed by wildflower-strewn dunes.
Enjoy fantastic coastal views on the Treachery Headland Walking Track. It meanders through the coastal rainforest and past enormous fig trees. It ends at Treachery Beach, where you’ll get uninterrupted views of Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.
Head up the coast to Blueys Beach to find lowkey cafes, shops and restaurants. Relax on the main beach or get rid of your tan lines on nearby Shelly Beach, a clothing-optional stretch of sand.
