At more than 2,400 metres high, Muottas Muragl is one of the most impressive lookouts in Upper Engadine. Ride the funicular up the mountain and unlock breathtaking views over peaks, valleys and rivers. Explore high-altitude hiking trails or simply enjoy a hot chocolate on the sun-drenched terrace.
Climb into a horse-drawn carriage and enjoy a scenic ride to the Val Roseg. A car-free road winds through the valley and treats you to spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. At the highest point, you’ll climb more than 2,000 metres above sea level.
Getting around Samedan
Samedan is compact and easy to get around on foot. Local trains and buses make it easy to access nearby towns, villages and ski areas. Rental cars offer the freedom to explore the Upper Engadine at your own pace. Samedan is in the canton of Grisons, a 10-minute drive from St Moritz.
