Nestled in a picturesque alpine valley, Lenzerheide is a Swiss mountain village at the base of the Parpaner Rothorn. It provides a base for skiing, snowboarding and ice skating in the winter months and offers everything from mountain biking to windsurfing and lake swimming in the summertime.
If you’re visiting during the snow season, you can hit the ski runs of Arosa Lenzerheide, which boasts around 225 kilometres of groomed trails. Cross-country skiers have more than 50 kilometres of marked trails to explore while there are seven winter hiking routes available. Several of the slopes and sledding runs are illuminated at night.
In the summertime, you can hike to the double-stage Sanaspans Waterfall, discover the impressive ruins of Belfort Castle or refresh with a swim in the Heidsee. Lenzerheide is also renowned as a mountain biking destination, with around 300 kilometres of marked trails to suit all experience levels.
Getting there
Lenzerheide is just under two hours’ drive from Zürich and Zürich Airport, which has flights to destinations across the globe. Buses connect to Lenzerheide while ski lifts ascend the surrounding slopes. Renting a car is the most convenient way of getting around the area.
