Kings Beach offers nonstop outdoor fun, with sunbathing, stand-up paddleboarding, jet skiing, kayaking and skydiving. Rock pools are a big hit with the little ones, with the chance to go fossicking and spot dolphins and other sea life. There’s also a kid-friendly water fountain and protected saltwater swimming pool.
A lively boardwalk spans the waterfront, connecting you to nearby beaches, including Bulcock, Shelly and Dickie. Walk over to Caloundra Lighthouses for an old-fashioned lookout perch over the ocean and passing cargo ships.
A portion of Pumicestone Passage is accessible near Kings Beach, where it’s possible to spy birdlife and dolphins. Check out Kings Beach Bathing Pavilion, a Heritage-listed structure overlooking the rock pools and beach.

Kings Beach has access to Caloundra’s public and private transportation options, including buses, taxis and limousines. You can rent a car in the city or at Sunshine Coast Airport, about a 30-minute drive away.
