Part of Gosford, Erina is a laid-back neighbourhood steps from the Brisbane Water estuary. It's a great base for exploring the Central Coast, a sun-drenched region surrounded by lush rainforests, golden beaches and charismatic country towns.
Things to do in Erina
With over 300 retailers, Erina Fair Shopping Centre is the biggest shopping centre on the Central Coast. In addition to fashion and lifestyle stores, you'll find a huge food court, ice skating rink, cinema and library.
If you prefer nature over retail therapy, head across the estuary to Brisbane Water National Park. A handful of scenic walking tracks wind through the park's lush rainforests and rugged sandstone outcrops. The park also offers a unique opportunity to admire ancient Aboriginal rock engravings.
For scuba divers, Erina is a gateway to the impressive Ex-HMAS Adelaide Dive Site. It sits almost two kilometres offshore and is submerged in around 30 metres of water. The artificial reef is also brimming with colourful coral and tropical fish. Head to Dive Imports Australia to find out about upcoming trips to the wreck.
Built in 1840, the Henry Kendall Cottage offers a fascinating glimpse at life in colonial Australia. Today it houses a historical museum showcasing everything from antiques to citrus farm machinery. The cottage is set in one hectare of peaceful parkland, where you can enjoy a stroll or picnic in the grounds.
