Built in 1985, Sajik Baseball Stadium is the beloved home of the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization, hosting lively matches throughout the season. The stadium can seat 26,800 fans, who are allowed to bring their own food, alcohol and supporter gear. Because of this, the crowds at the Lotte Giants games are typically boisterous and fanatic.
Keep an eye out for various entertainment throughout the game, such as K-Pop dancers, the popular “kiss cam” and team mascots. Baseball fans will particularly enjoy the skills of the players, many who strive to be signed in the Major League Baseball competition in the United States.
Feeling hungry? Head to one of the many Redcap eateries around the stadium, which serve delicious pizzas. Sajik Baseball Stadium is next to the Busan Sports Complex, which features an indoor swimming pool and gym. You can also visit numerous shops and restaurants around the stadium, many of which offer takeaway food and beer for the game.
Getting there
Sajik Baseball Stadium is slightly north of the centre of Busan, easily reached by catching a combination of buses and trains. If you’re coming straight from Gimhae International Airport, you can get there in about one hour using the purple and brown lines.
