Known for its therapeutic acidic and alkaline water, Polynesian Spa has been luring bathers since 1882. Local Maori tribes first discovered the mineral-rich natural springs, which have since been transformed into a luxury spa complex featuring 28 hot mineral pools.
Priest’s Bath, also known as Te Pupunitanga, works wonders on tired muscles, while the high alkaline content of Rachel Spring leaves skin feeling silky smooth. Upgrade to a deluxe ticket, which unlocks access to exclusive rock-lined pools with beautiful lake views. You can also indulge in spa treatments, massages and mud masks.
Kids love splashing in the heated freshwater family pool, which is supervised by a lifeguard. If you're craving peace and quiet, escape to the adults-only mineral pools strung along the lakeshore. Visit after dark to enjoy a soak under the stars.
