Millthorpe is a great base for touring the Orange wine region to taste the award-winning Tempranillo at Angullong Wines and learn about the viticulture craft at the Slow Wine Co. Visit the mid-19th-century Millthorpe Railway Station that now showcases Edgecombe Wines.
Stop in at the Golden Memories Museum, set across eight buildings in the centre of Millthorpe. Aboriginal artefacts, Australian inventions and vintage machinery are all on display, together with a Craft Cottage where you can find locally-made souvenirs.

Millthorpe is 20 minutes’ drive from Orange Regional Airport and 30 minutes from Bathurst. It’s a picturesque 3.5-hour drive from Sydney to Millthorpe, while the town is small enough to explore on foot.
