Lopar is a laid-back village perched on the northern tip of Rab Island. Surrounded by sandy beaches and turquoise bays, it’s an idyllic destination for sunseekers. Strolling around the village, you’ll be charmed by its traditional stone houses and gardens filled with flowers and roses.
Paradise Beach is one of the most popular stretches of sand and spans 1.5 kilometres along Crnika Bay. The water is shallow and crystalline, perfect for families with young children. Sunbathe on the sand or wade out to the tiny offshore island. Just steps from the sand, you’ll find cafes, ice-cream parlours, minigolf courses and other family-friendly attractions. Sahara Beach has a quieter vibe and is popular with clothing-optional sunseekers.
Lopar offers a wide selection of restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood caught in the Adriatic Sea. Save your appetite for mackerel, hake, sole and lobster. Wash down your meal with a glass of “sljivovica” plum brandy.
