Nestled beneath soaring cliffs on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria, Amadores Beach is a picture-perfect crescent of sand. This man-made beach is sheltered by two dykes to ensure calm swimming waters, while beachfront bars and restaurants offer refreshments throughout the day.
Rent a sun lounger and beach umbrella for the day on the sands of Amadores Beach, which is linked via a seafront promenade to the surrounding resorts. Pedalos are available for hire at one end of the cove and there are plenty of shops where you can pick up beach essentials, such as sunscreen, hats and bathers.
Once you’ve built up an appetite, grab a bite to eat at the Happy Valley Indian or the Belice Café Restaurante, both of which offer sweeping views across the beach. You can combine a swim at Amadores Beach with a round on the 18-hole championship course of Anfi Tauro Golf.
