Zagreb Airport, officially known as Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb, is south-east of Zagreb in the city of Velika Gorica. It’s the busiest aviation hub in Croatia, with flights to destinations across Europe, and is within easy access of tourist attractions for those with an extended layover.
Pick up any last-minute Croatian souvenirs at From Designers With Love or grab a magazine from the newsagent to read on the plane. There are numerous Duty-Free shops and designer boutiques in the main departures area, along with banks, currency exchange counters and a post office.
Feeling hungry? You’ll pastries, freshly-made sandwiches and sit-down meals at the various eateries around the terminal. Grab a drink at Brewmark Pub or settle in at one of the lounges while taking advantage of the complimentary Wi-Fi.
Getting there
Zagreb Airport is around 15 minutes’ drive from Zagreb and the Zagreb railway station. The Zagreb railway station is adjacent to the city’s main bus terminal and has services to the airport every 30 minutes.
