Vorokhta is a picturesque village nestled in the Carpathian Mountains. Developed as a spa town in the 1920s, Vorokhta continues to attract holidaymakers in search of fresh air and beautiful alpine scenery. The best hotels feature heated outdoor pools with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. You’ll also be tempted by therapeutic massages, facials and other treatments.
At 800 metres above sea level, Vorokhta offers excellent skiing in the winter months. Spend the day speeding along the scenic ski runs, then warm up with traditional Ukrainian “borsch” beetroot soup and “varenyky” dumplings at a cosy restaurant. Saunas are the perfect way to soothe aching muscles and get ready for another day on the slopes.
Founded in the 1980s, Carpathian National Nature Park protects one of the country’s most beautiful wilderness areas. Well-marked trails wind through the park and take you past rugged mountains and dense beech, spruce and juniper forests.
