Zatoka lures you with its long sandy beach and lively resort-style atmosphere. The neighbourhood is set on a low lying sand spit, where the Dniester River meets the Black Sea. Relax on the golden sand, make a splash at the family-friendly waterpark and enjoy delicious Ukrainian cuisine at local restaurants.
Things to do in Zatoka
Zatoka Beach stretches for five kilometres along the Black Sea coast and is a mecca for sunseekers. In summer, join locals as they bask on the sand and cool off in the calm, clear waters of the Black Sea. Thatched umbrellas dot the shoreline and shade you from the sunshine.
Colourful water slides, pools and fountains make Zatoka Aquapark a family favourite. There’s plenty to keep adults entertained, including the exhilarating Cobra slide that simulates the thrill of freefall. Younger kids love shooting water cannons in the pool, while teens can explore the jungle safari park.
After a day in the sun, head to one of the laid-back cafes for refreshment. There are plenty of restaurants serving traditional Ukrainian dishes such as “borscht” beetroot soup topped with yoghurt and dill and pan-fried pierogies stuffed with potato and served with sauteed onions.
