Set on the ridgeline of the Carpathian Mountains, Bukovel is Eastern Europe’s largest ski resort offering world-class slopes and year-round adventure. Bukovel has quickly become a haven for recreation, due to its stunning scenery, pleasant climate and cultural traditions.
Things to do in Bukovel
With stunning views of the snow-capped Carpathians, the Bukovel Ski Resort is a luxurious alpine getaway. Warm up with a hot “sbiten” drink, before jumping on one of Bukovel’s 16 ski lifts and exploring over 60 kilometres of pristine pistes on five different mountain peaks.
You’re spoiled for choice with outdoor activities like snow tubing, ice skating and dog sledding. After an energetic day out, refuel with traditional Ukrainian dumplings at Filvarok Inn or kick start an evening with mulled wine at the upscale Veranda Lounge-Zone.
Take a dip in Bukovel’s large artificial lake in warmer months, where kayaking, jet skiing and diving are popular. Deckchairs and beach cafes surround the lake, giving you plenty of options for a peaceful meal by the water.
Adventure can be found at the base of the Carpathian Mountains. Hoverla Mountain is a favourite for hiking and mountain biking, as it is the highest peak in Ukraine. A relatively mild hike will get you to the top, where you can enjoy picture-perfect views of the area.
