Siem Reap International Airport is Cambodia’s busiest aviation hub, located 15 minutes outside of the city centre of Siem Reap. The airport services domestic and international flights through a variety of carriers and sees over one million visitors annually. Siem Reap International Airport is the main point of transport to the ancient Angkor City, a thriving tourist destination located just outside of Siem Reap.
The airport boasts one runway and a newly developed terminal with a comprehensive range of services geared toward international travellers including a currency exchange and dining outlets such as Dairy Queen, Pizza Company, PHO24, and the Blue Pumpkin. Shopping opportunities throughout the terminal are highlighted by the unique Artisans d’Angkor outlet and EZ Wear and Travel. There is also a Le Salon Lounge offered to passengers for a fee that provides additional dining services, Wifi, and computer access.
Transportation options from the airport to the city of Siem Reap are plentiful. Numerous tuk-tuks and taxis are available for hire just outside of the arrival hall.
The growing tourist economy within the city of Siem Reap has resulted in an escalation of passenger traffic and subsequent building expansion. A new terminal was built in 2006 to help manage the increasing tourist population.
