Over 200 bamboo huts and local vendors make up the hustle and bustle of Angkor Night Market. Located in Siem Reap City Centre, the market spreads out over a large area next to Sivatha Street in the downtown district and was established in 2007 to help preserve the artisanal crafts of the local Khmer people.
Angkor Night Market was the first of its kind in Cambodia and has since turned into the reference point for many replica markets worldwide. Today you can find anything and everything on sale, including native clothing, foodie delights and hand-made souvenirs. Wander from stall to stall enjoying local delicacies, including skewered chicken hearts and hot noodle soups.
The market is split into different sections to help you navigate the sprawl of stalls. Enjoy an outdoor movie with a beer in hand, shop for bargains or enjoy a massage at one of the spa services.
Getting There
Siem Reap International Airport sits 15 minutes north of the market and the best way to reach the night market is by taxi. If you’re travelling to the market you can also make use of local tuk-tuks or hire a bike.
