Paralia Katerinis is a laid-back beach town fringed by golden sand and turquoise water. Popular with sunseekers from the nearby city of Katerini, it’s set between the Aegean Sea and the Pieria Mountains. Relax on the beach and make a splash with water sports like banana boating.
Day cruises depart from the beach and take you to postcard-perfect offshore islands like Skiathos and Skopelos. Swim in the crystalline Aegean Sea and explore picturesque Skiathos Town set around an ancient harbour.
Beautiful St. Fotini Church towers over the beach and will charm you with its whitewashed façade and red-tile domes. Al fresco cafes and restaurants line the sidewalks and will tempt you with local dishes like grilled octopus and lamb moussaka. Low-key bars and nightclubs keep Paralia Katerinis feeling lively after dark. The streets are also lined with colourful souvenir shops where you can pick up hand-painted ceramics and artisan jewellery.
