Nestled on the Sithonia peninsula, Neos Marmaras is a charming coastal Greek town that almost quadruples its population during summer. Traditional Greek architecture surrounds a quiet port with azure water, while the town’s streets reveal family-run seafood restaurants, cafes and boutiques.
Summer days are best spent at the soft-sand Neos Marmaras Beach, where the calm water and lack of crowds make it ideal for families. It’s lined with a range of ocean-facing coffee shops and bars, including Livas Beach Bar, Fratelli on the Beach, Fun Beach and Coconut Beach Bar. You can also venture north to Lagomandra Beach, known for its clear water and pine forests, or south to Porto Carras Beach.
Explore the centre of Neos Marmaras to uncover unique boutiques, such as fealisia CREATIONS and Original Store, before ducking into Provlita Fish Restaurant-Cafe-Bar for delicious local food. Neos Marmaras’ marina is perfect for an afternoon stroll or watching locals fishing from the shoreline.
