Located on a spit between Jamno Lake and the Baltic Sea, Mielno is a coastal resort town in north-west Poland. It is fringed by a golden stretch of sand and home to plenty of family-friendly attractions that range from amusement parks to a living history museum.
Stretching along the length of the town is Mielno Beach, which is a popular setting for swimming and sunbathing in the warmer months. In addition to water sports equipment for rent, there are beach volleyball courts available and a restaurant-lined promenade runs the length of the beach.
On the other side of Mielno is Jamno, a coastal lagoon where you can go sailing, fishing or kayaking. Walking and cycling trails hug the shores and offer sightings of water birds perched on the wooden jetties. To the south of Jamno is the open-air museum of Zagroda Jamnenska, where you can learn about life in times gone by.
