Grzybowo is a lively town fringed by a long strip of champagne-coloured sand. The water is calm, clear and perfect for swimming. There’s plenty of space to roll out your towel on the sand and bask in the Baltic sunshine. Grass-covered dunes and towering pine trees frame the beach and add to the picturesque setting.
Rent a bike and explore picturesque trails around Grzybowo. Some trails wind through the forest and others treat you to beautiful views of the Baltic Sea. Horseback rides are a fun way to spend an afternoon in Grzybowo. Ride along the beach or head to nearby Resko Lake, an important habitat for local birdlife.
From traditional restaurants serving “pierogi” dumplings and “bigos” stew to family-friendly fish and chip shops, there are plenty of places to dine in Grzybowo. You’ll find more options, including stylish waterfront bistros, in the nearby resort of Kołobrzeg. Walk to the end of the pier and visit the beautifully restored lighthouse built in the 17th century.
Getting there
Grzybowo is compact and easy to get around on foot. The resort is a 10-minute drive from Kołobrzeg and 1.5 hours from Szczecin. Trains run between Kołobrzeg and Gdansk in around four hours. Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is a 3.5-hour drive away.
