Lassi is a laid-back resort fringed by gold-sand and shimmering blue water. Makris Gialos is one of the most popular beaches, set at the foot of a pine tree-covered hill. The turquoise water contrasts beautifully against the honey-coloured sand. Rent an umbrella-shaded sun lounge of splurge on a luxury cabana with cocktail service.
For a quieter scene, head to Kalamia Beach, a postcard-perfect cove surrounded by sea cliffs. Relax on the sand and explore secret sea caves that dot the shoreline. Gradakia Beach is another hidden gem with calm, crystalline water and a rocky shoreline.
You can find most of the action along the main road, which is lined with bars, cafes and restaurants. Dine alfresco on delicious ocean-fresh seafood served with a carafe of locally grown Robola white wine. In place of nightclubs, you’ll find lively tavernas where you can enjoy traditional Greek dancing and live music.
