Las Americas International Airport is the official name for Santo Domingo Airport, located in Punta Caucedo. The airport is one of the largest in the Caribbean and the second busiest in the country, flying to over 15 destinations including New York, Miami, Madrid, and Panama City.
The airport consists of one building with two terminals within walking distance of one another: Terminal A in the south and Terminal B in the north. Browse the duty-free stores or grab a bite to eat on level three at one of the many restaurants, cafes or fast food outlets.
Members of United Airlines and Copa Airlines can relax at Copa Club, a private lounge with a restaurant and bar. If you have time during a layover, visit Boca Chica, a resort area within 15 minutes’ drive of the airport with beautiful white-sand beaches, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Getting there
Las Americas International Airport is 30 minutes’ drive from Santo Domingo’s city center. Private airport shuttles and taxis are available, as well as public buses, which depart regularly for Boca Chica and Parque Enriquillo.
