About Koppang Railway Station

Located in the administrative heart of Stor-Elvdal, Koppang Railway Station is a transportation hub on the Røros Line. Koppang is divided in two by the Glomma River and takes its name from a kaupang (village) that stood here in the Middle Ages.

Settle in to watch the trains travelling north to Trondheim and south to Hamar from the platform of the Koppang Railway Station. It’s within walking distance of the town’s movie theatre, library and bank, as well as several eateries, including Milano Restaurant where you can grab pizzas and kebabs.

A highlight of Koppang Railway Station is its newly built yellow shed, with the Trondheim-based Vis-à-vis architectural firm winning a design competition for its construction. In front are several pine benches for passengers to relax on as they await their train.
