With the capacity to host more than 140,000 visitors per day, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) is an epicentre for both business and pleasure. From exclusive corporate events and high-profile trade fairs to sell-out concerts and international sporting events, the HKCEC is a mosaic of halls, theatres, meeting rooms and function areas that host a constant flow of excitement.
Every year, its world class facilities host over 45 international trade fairs, showcasing everything from leather, fashion and jewellery to toys, electronics and optical products. In addition to its event space, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is home to seven restaurants with a total capacity of 1,870 guests.
Located in Wan Chai North, HKCEC is easily accessible from anywhere on Hong Kong Island. Thanks to a network of covered walkways to nearby hotels and commercial buildings, accessing the centre from some sites can take just a few minutes. A Star Ferry service operates across Victoria Harbour from Wan Chai pier, while the closest MTR metro station is Wan Chai Station (exit C) on the Island Line. A handful of bus routes also stop nearby.
At the time of its construction, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre was an architectural feat, with its glass curtain boasting the largest of its kind. Today, its prime position on the Hong Kong waterfront makes it a popular venue for weddings, functions and other private events.
