The National Stadium, also known as the PGE Narodowy, is one of Poland's top-tier sporting venues. It's home to the much-loved Poland National Football Team and can accommodate over 58,000 fans. The exterior is painted in a geometric red-and-white design inspired by the Polish flag.
The stadium was built to host the Euro 2012 football championships and is topped by a retractable roof. There are plenty of cafes and snack bars to keep you fuelled on game day.
In addition to sporting events, the stadium is a popular venue for music concerts, with previous acts including Beyonce, Coldplay, and The Rolling Stones. If you can't score tickets to a football match or concert, join a guided tour for a behind-the-scenes look at the locker rooms, commentary box, and stands. Don't miss seeing the interior observation deck, which offers a bird's-eye view of the field.
Getting there
The National Stadium is set on the east bank of the Vistula River, a 10-minute drive from Warsaw’s city center. The stadium is serviced by the Stadion Narodowy metro station, a five-minute walk from the main entrance gate.
