Gocek is a laid-back town set on the Gulf of Fethiye and framed by forest-covered hills. Shimmering water, well-serviced marinas and lashings of Mediterranean sunshine make Gocek a haven for luxury yachts. The town is a popular stop on the Turquoise Coast, where you’ll find iconic resorts and ancient archaeological sites.
Things to do in Göcek
Charter a boat and enjoy an island-hopping tour around the Gulf of Fethiye. Spend the day sailing to the famous “12 Islands” that dot the bay. Relax on the sundeck, swim in the crystalline water and spot dolphins, sea turtles and flying fish. Add-on activities include jet skiing and banana boat rides, while most tours include a barbecue lunch. You’ll be back in Gocek in time for sundowners at a waterfront bar.
Swim and sunbathe on picturesque Rixos Secret Beach on the western side of the bay. Sun loungers and umbrellas dot the privately owned, adults-only stretch of sand. Bask in the sunshine and watch yachts sail in and out of the bay. Across the bay is Blue Point Beach, another private beach with a similar vibe. Head down the coast to Inlice Public Beach if you’re looking for a family-friendly atmosphere. Swim in the shallow water and order ice-cold drinks from beach bars.
Explore postcard-perfect Mediterranean landscapes in the Kille Koyu nature preserve. The crescent-shaped bay is popular with yachts and features azure water backed by lush pine forests. Further down the coast is Sarsala Koyu, a natural harbour fringed by a small stretch of golden sand.
