Part of a worldwide phenomenon that began in California, Disneyland Paris spreads the iconic Disney magic with a European twist. Disney-themed hotels, two major theme parks and a shopping and entertainment district take the thrills well past sunset, just in time for a stunning fireworks extravaganza and show.
Things to do in Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Park, the centerpiece of the entire complex, glitters and glistens beneath a hilltop Sleeping Beauty Castle that casts a spell throughout the theme park. Rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor incorporate distinctly French interpretations and surprises.
Head over to Walt Disney Studios Park to experience the world of Hollywood cinema, watch daredevil stunt shows and discover backlot surprises and rides. Want to dine with the stars? Take a seat at one of the several themed restaurants featuring the likes of Chef Remy from Pixar’s blockbuster “Ratatouille” film.
The fun continues outside the two parks, with dozens of shops, arcade rooms, cafes, dancing performances and live music at the free Disney Village entertainment complex. Book a table for the Wild West-themed dinner show with a full array of performing Disney characters.
Getting around Disneyland Paris
The gates of Disneyland Paris stand 32 kilometers from Paris’ city center, accessible by rail, dedicated Disney shuttles or by car via the A4. After arriving at Marne-la-Vallee/Chessy train station, it’s about a two-minute walk to the park. Disney trams and shuttles also offer transportation throughout the theme park.
